Great little heater

I bought this heater in the middle of January to supplement our oil heat which we have been trying to avoid using. We burn a gas fireplace in our downstairs 24/7 and since no one is home during the day , we do not heat the upstairs . When we get home later in the day the upstairs is cold.. meaning 55 degrees or so. I can plug turn this on in my approx. 12x12 bedroom and it will take the temp up to 72 and maintain it all night. IMPORTANT NOTE: This heater says in bold IN THE MANUAL that they must be on their OWN electric line with it's OWN separate breaker!! We have 3 lines that are set up for these heaters and have nothing else on that line.. just like the manual says. I'm sure that they could be dangerous if not hooked up properly...the box says they assume NO liability if used in any other way. I don't think these heaters, and other heaters LIKE these are up front about that. THAT should be stated on the OUTSIDE of the box, NOT the inside. Just my two cents. Aside from all that, the heater works great. I have had to turn it off a few times through the night because I was just too warm. Can't speak for the electric bill yet, but that will of course be higher... I believe it's around $.25 an hour to run.. or so they SAY. We shall see.. no matter what it is, it's still beats filling an oil tank with $900 worth of oil.

Great Hea ter

I bought one last year and decided it fit my needs so well that I bought another one this year. Only Drawback I have found is, if the power goes out the heater stays off until someone turns it back on. So, if your at work, it's a cold house until you get home. I always leave my furnace on as backup, but I have not heard it run yet this year. I live in a mobile home and have one in the rear and one in the living room kitchen areas. A curtain in the hall creates a Zoned heating effect and is saving big bucks compared to Propane.
